Flea & Tick Treatment
We appreciate when pet parents are upfront about fleas — it helps us prepare properly and give your pup the care they need while keeping our mobile spa safe and clean for every pet.
Here’s what to expect with a flea bath service:
• Thorough Treatment – We use a pet-safe flea & tick shampoo to eliminate pests and provide relief from itching and irritation.
• Extra Time & Care – Treatments require additional time and specialized handling to ensure your pup is fully cleaned and comfortable.
• Mandatory Van Sanitization – After any flea service, our mobile spa undergoes a complete sanitization before we travel to the next appointment.
• Pricing – Because of the additional products, time, and sanitization required, flea & tick treatments incur an extra fee $20-$50 dependent on Size and severity.
Pre-Existing Conditions
At Head2Paws, your pet’s safety and comfort are always our top priority. During each appointment, we carefully check your pet’s skin, ears, and teeth and will inform you of any concerns we may find.
Please note, Head2Paws is not responsible for pre-existing medical conditions or potential adverse effects that may result from severely matted or neglected coats. These may include, but are not limited to:
• Clipper/brush irritation
• Minor cuts or nicks
• Abrasions caused by moles, skin tags, or open/healing sores
We will always use care and caution, but some conditions are unavoidable when grooming under these circumstances.
De-Matting
💲 Pricing: $2 per minute (final cost varies based on size and severity).
Matting can be a lengthy and sometimes uncomfortable process depending on how tight the tangles are. We always work carefully and gently, paying close attention to your pet’s comfort and well-being.
De-Shedding
💲 Pricing: $2 per minute (final cost varies based on size and coat type).
Our de-shedding treatment is designed to dramatically reduce loose hair. We take our time to thoroughly remove undercoat buildup, leaving your pup’s coat healthier, lighter, and with noticeably less shedding.
Safety & Pet Behavior
Head2Paws is a NO BITE ZONE.
Clients are responsible for informing Head2Paws of any aggressive tendencies before the appointment. If a pet shows aggressive behavior, services will stop immediately. A $30 trip fee will apply, and the client is responsible for any injuries or property damage caused by their pet(s).
Cancellations, No-Shows & Trip Fees
On rare occasions, Head2Paws may need to cancel an appointment due to equipment failure, weather, illness, or other unforeseen circumstances. Every effort will be made to contact you in advance and reschedule.
• Client Cancellations: Please provide at least 48 hours’ notice if you cannot keep your appointment.
• Cancellations under 48 hours: A 50% service fee will apply.
• No Call / No Show: May result in loss of future booking privileges.
Veterinary Requirements
Head2Paws trusts our clients to make responsible choices for their pets’ health and well-being. The State of Texas requires all pets to be current on their Rabies vaccination. We strongly encourage following your veterinarian’s guidance for additional recommended care.
For safety, our mobile spa is cleaned and disinfected between every household to ensure a healthy environment for all pets.
Appointment Times
Appointment times are an estimated arrival window within 1–2 hours. If the client is unavailable at arrival, the appointment may need to be rescheduled.
As a mobile service, schedules are subject to change due to factors such as traffic, travel distance, fuel needs, or extended time with a previous appointment. If Head2Paws expects to be more than 15 minutes early or late, you will be contacted by call or text.
Payment
• Payment is due on the day of service.
• We accept in-person payments (cash or card) or online payments through Square invoice if the pet parent is not home.
• All major credit/debit cards are accepted.
• Cash is accepted, but please note that we do not carry change.
• Checks and Venmo are not accepted.
• Online invoice payments must be made immediately upon receipt. Late payments are not permitted.
• Please note: Prices may differ slightly for online payments to cover administrative costs.
